Best PhD’s Poster Awards

Among the 135 posters of the conference, an international committee of distinguished experts has awarded 5 posters of PhD for their excellent work and outstanding presentation. Committee has also highlighted the overall quality of the posters, the commitment of the young scientists and the enthusiasm of the discussions. The 5 awarded PhDs are:
  • Guillem Sole-Mari (UPC, Barecelona, Spain), for  Adaptive Local Kernels for Lagrangian Modeling of Reactive Transport
  • Jia Wang (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, US) for  Simulating the Development of Weathering Profiles in Shale Bedrock at the Eel River Critical Zone Observatory
  • Olivier Bochet (University of Rennes, France) for New method to measure microbial activity in groundwater
  • Álvaro Pardo-Álvarez (University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland) for  Closing the conceptual gap between the hyporheic zone and the river corridor
  • Lea Boittin (INRIA, LJLL-UPMC) for  Derivation of a bedload transport model with viscous effects
